Elaine Quilichini has inspired and empowered thousands of children and adults through choral music. She is the founder and Artistic Director of the Calgary Girls Choir, a choir she built and has nurtured for 30 years. She is a recognized pillar of provincial, national and international choral communities and a sought-after educator with choral music programmes world-wide. Her choirs have toured and performed across Canada, in the United States, England, Italy, Vienna, Hungary and the Czech Republic. They have won numerous choral competitions including first place at the Vienna Youth International Youth and Music Festival; four, first place wins at the CBC Radio National Choral competition; featured ‘choir in residence’ at the National American Kodaly conference. Elaine Quilichini has commissioned numerous new choral works from Canadian composers for the choir to perform.
