Jessica Jalbert’s first album, Brother Loyola (2011), enjoyed sales across Europe, Canada, and the U.S. She followed the album with an individual Canadian tour and then toured as a member of Jom Comyn and Renny Wilson Punk Explosion as well as touring Europe as a member of Born Gold. She has also recorded with Born Gold, Doug Hoyer, Renny Wilson, Tee-Tahs and Jom Comyn.
Her second album, Cosmic Troubles, recorded under the name Faith Healer, was number one on CKUA’s Top 100 albums for 2015 and received notable reviews in Pitchfork Media, Rookie Magazine, Spin, Stereogum, and Uncut. It enjoyed public praise from Stars’ Torquil Campbell, CBC’s Grant Lawrence, and The New Pornographers’ A.C. Newman.
Jalbert’s recent highlights include performing on CBCs q, performing a support slot on several tour dates with Chad VanGaalen, performing as support for Deerhoof, and being accepted to Austin’s SXSW.
