Internationally renowned musician and educator Jens Lindemann attributes his career to the strong music programs and mentoring he received as a young musician in Edmonton, Alberta. Schooled in traditional band and orchestra repertoire as well as jazz and other musical styles, this musical foundation expanded into a performance career which has garnered him numerous awards and accolades, including: Member of the Order of Canada (2014); International Brass Personality of the Year (2006); British Bandsman, Solo CD of the year (2011); numerous Grammy and Juno award nominations; honorary doctorate degrees; Honorary Lifetime Membership in the International Trumpet Guild. From 2010-2020, Lindemann was Artistic Director of the International Summer Brass Festival, Banff Centre. He is current Artistic Director of the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, Korea, and Professor with High Distinction at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Herb Alpert School of Music, in trumpet performance.
