RONNIE BURKETT has honoured the timeless beauty and entertainment value of classic marionette theatre, while creating a deeply personal and dynamic body of work in the art form. Audiences in his home province of Alberta, throughout Canada, in Great Britain, the United States, and around the world have been delighted, touched, and changed by his compassionately observed characters and his compellingly eccentric dramatic narratives. Having trained with the masters of his craft, Burkett has, from the beginning of his career, explored provocative contemporary themes, while engaging young and old with his wit and meticulous artistry.
